Member's Roles

The Leadership Network will be initially Chaired by the Southern First Nations Network of Care FASD Specialist with meetings being arranged by either the Chair or the agency. The meetings can be hosted at different agencies and locations throughout the Southern First Nations Network of Care region.

The role of the FASD Specialist representative is to provide ongoing support and consultation to the agency representatives. The Southern First Nations Network of Care representative will act as liaison between the agencies and other resources within the federal and provincial network. The FASD Specialist will set and organize the agenda to suit the needs of the leadership network(s). Collaboration to develop the agenda and organizing the outcome(s) of any direction within the leadership network is expected. Whether it be arranging a committee meeting and communicating decisions thereof, entering into a collaborative partnership with other agencies, receiving training or clinical support it is expected that each agency representative take a role to carry the information to their agency and regions of the province. The role of the FASD Specialist(s) is to bring forward the perspective of the agencies and the communities they serve. Each agency is has the opportunity to share their group's vision and activities within the website. By posting their activities and collaborative efforts it is hoped that other agencies and regions of the province will be able to work more collaboratively and to share resources.
