FASD Resource Library and Resource Materials
Each agency has been given a myriad of resources materials to use for FASD prevention and intervention.

National Screening Tool Kit for Children and Youth Identified and Potentially Affected by FASD
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is not a diagnosis, but an umbrella term that describes the range of effects that can be caused by prenatal exposure to alcohol. These effects may include physical, mental, behavioral and/or learning disabilities with possible lifelong implications.. The prevalence of FASD in Canada is estimated at 9.1 per 1,000 live births, and the estimated lifetime cost for one individual with FASD is one million dollars.

Lifebooks for children in care
The following pages are for children who are living with FASD. They are downloadable and can be edited to fit any language or life situation. Families can adapt the pages for a child who is living with a developmental, behavioral or mental health condition in order to allow that child or family to educate people about their condition.
We recognize all children are culturally, linguistically and behaviorally unique and we encourage children and families to be creative in developing a life book that represents their unique faith and life situation.
